Origins are a brand that I am sure you have heard me rave about before. I love their skincare products and their Drink Up Intensive Mask (review here) and Clear Improved Mask (review here) are staple items in my skincare cupboard. I used to dabble with their makeup ranges when I was younger but stopped the day they discontinued my favourite powder. To me Origins are a skincare brand that flit into and out of the world of makeup however, with some recent new launches Origins products have quickly become permeant additions in my makeup routine!

First up is their GinZing Eye Brightening Cream Eye Shadows. Similar in style to the MAC Paint Pots and Benefit Creaseless Cream Eye Shadows these are potted cream shadows that you can apply with your finger or a brush. The magic of these Origins shadows is that they are brightening! They are part of the GinZing range with GinZing being an Origins eye cream that is aimed at brightening your eyes whilst reducing any puffiness. By containing Panax Ginseng and Caffeine these work away to remove any signs of fatigue and perk up the area around your eye. The formulation of the shadows are super soft and the colour glides onto your eyes whilst providing intense colour payoff. What I love about these shadows is that not only are they quick and versatile, they last all day without creasing. My favourite colour is the light iridescent colour 03 Sugar Peach and I have been wearing this every day all over the lid with the Liz Earle Signature Eye Colour in 04 Twig* buffed into in the crease. With 10 different shades to choose from you can find your perfect match to use as a base, shade or layered up to make colours more vibrant.

Also in the range is the GinZing Brightening Mascara. Complete with orange wand and big bold brush this mascara does pack quite a punch! I don’t know whether I can see any added brightness to my eyes like it claims to, but I do find that it adds good length to my lashes. I find you have to be a bit careful with application as the bottom lashes can look a tad spidery but once that is mastered you are good to go. Now you will notice that I haven’t mentioned the Plantscription Foundation that is pictured above. Could this be because I do not like it? Quite on the contrary! I love this foundation and am saving it for a massive rave post all of its own! It has quickly become one of my top foundations and I haven’t found myself wanting to reach for anything else since getting it. Considering Origins makeup used to be at the back of my mind it is now the forefront of my makeup with my new eye combo of 03 Sugar Peach and Liz Earle 04 Twig being my staple go to look.

Have you tried out any Origins makeup before? Are you tempted by their new GinZing additions?
